Firstly thank you for somehow ending up here.

Since a young age I have been drawing cartoons (mostly monsters), and also making stupid films with friends and family. Being the son of wildlife artist Maurice Pledger I grew up painting and drawing alongside him in his studio. I’m part Italian and half Sicilian so spent a lot of time in Bologna in the summer visiting family, spending a lot of time with my great uncle Sergio Iori who was an excellent oil paint artist. In the same way that Sergio got my dad into painting when he was little, he got me into cartoons. Will soon be making up a page of his work to show you.

 I Have put together this website with help from my friend Loretta Chan to show you what happens in my head. 27 now and have been doing professional work since I was 16, some of the work on here has been published or commissioned, some is just for the sake of it. I have done both Illustration and film work for the following clients..

The Diner’s Club Card, The National Fire Brigade, NASA ( National Angling Society), Hibert Ralph Animation, Warp Records, Osymyso, Framestore-CFC, Passion Pictures, Ian Collins of TalkSport radio UK, Richard Cheese, Film concept art for The Peter Robinson Company, Bullseye (tv show), Avalon Television, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Warwick Davis, Neoco, Talkback, Peter Brookes Productions & Channel 4.

I have taught Cartooning and basic animation at over 15 schools to young children between the ages of 3 -11 and have also written and published a book ‘Breaking Hearts’, distributed through Warp Records.

Currently working on a live video for Ipecac records for their bands Fantomas & The Melvins, which I have filmed, edited and at the moment producing the DVD coming this summer.

Completing a stop motion animation titled ‘Thistle’, and appearing In Dominic Hailstone’s music video for the ISIS song ‘Holy Tears’, coming out very soon, again on Ipecac Records.
